Gamification is the science and the art of giving people a game like experience in non-gaming context. Simply put, the happiness of playing a game will be provided to people, when they work.
This should not be mistaken as converting work to a game. Gamification does not do that. What it does is to take the gaming elements and provide people with the experience of playing a game through gaming elements, within work. There is a whole science and a art behind the concept.
Using ‘gameness” in business can be represented in a spectrum which we identify as Games in Business (GIB). GIB as we coined the term, offer five levels games or game like practices are used in businesses. They are
